Open Source Product Marketing Manager

Description

At Igalia, we are excited to welcome a Product Marketing Manager for several of the Open Source projects led by Igalia such as WPE WebKit, Servo, and Wolvic. The selected candidate will join our multicultural, geographically distributed company, with a fully remote work environment and a collaborative culture.

The selected profile will be in charge of helping Igalia define and execute marketing strategies around its different products using Open Source technologies, including the WPE WebKit web engine, the Servo web engine, and the Wolvic XR web browser, among others.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Understanding the market landscape and competitors.
  • Determining product positioning.
  • Creating marketing materials and demos that highlight their value propositions, features and benefits.
  • Creating technical content (e.g., blog posts, social media, documentation) and delivering talks and presentations at key events and conferences.
  • Engaging with Open Source communities and ecosystems to foster adoption, gather feedback, and build strong relationships with developers and partners.
  • Helping to define the technical strategy for each product.

In order to fulfill those responsibilities, it is highly desirable that the candidate is familiar with the dynamics of Open Source projects, has a technical background, is familiar with the English language, and is able to collaborate closely with highly technical engineers.
