June is usually a big month for events here at Igalia, because that’s when we put on the Web Engines Hackfest. This year will be bigger than ever, because this year’s Hackfest is the biggest ever! Over 150 attendees will descend on our home town of A Coruña to share insights and hack new features, ideas, and paths forward. The talks will also be livestreamed, so subscribe to the Web Engines Hackfest channel if you want to catch them live or catch up when the individual sessions are posted once the event is over.

With that said, here’s our event roster for June:

• Web Engines Hackfest, June 2–4 — In addition to organizing and hosting the event, we’ll have three talks featuring Igalians:
  • “WinterTC: a standard for server-side runtimes”, Andreu Botella, Luca Casonato
  • “Bridging CommonJS and ESM in Node.js”, Joyee Cheung
  • “Jumping Over the Garden Wall - WPE WebKit on Android”, Adrián Pérez de Castro
• JSNation Europe, June 12 & 16 — Philip Chimento will come to Europe’s biggest JS conference to share the haunting tale of “Temporal: The Curious Incident of the Wrong Nighttime”
• AtlanticaConf, June 13–14 — Ujjwal Sharma will present “Nobody asks ‘How is JavaScript?’”, a look at the past, present, and future of the Web’s foremost programming language and at the standards process that shapes it
• Open Source Summit NA, June 23–25 — One of the largest open source summits in the world will feature two talks from Igalians:
  • “The Life of a Kernel Bugfix”, Thadeu Lima de Souza Cascardo
  • “Unlocking the Full Potential of WPE To Build a Successful Embedded Product”, Mario Sanchez-Prada
