"Join us for three days of discussions, brainstorming sessions, and hands-on collaboration"

Are you passionate about web technologies? Do you thrive on collaboration and innovation? If so, mark your calendars because the 15th annual Web Engines Hackfest is just around the corner!

Igalia is happy to bring together web enthusiasts, browser developers, and web standards experts from around the globe for three days of discussions, brainstorming sessions, and hands-on collaboration to drive the future of the web platform. The event will once again be hybrid, allowing both remote and in-person participation, with the in-person portion being hosted in A Coruña, Spain at the Palexco venue.

Similar to previous years, the Hackfest will follow an unconference format, meaning topics and tasks for the event are participant-driven.

If you have an idea for a talk or a breakout session, please submit a proposal! This is your chance to share your insights, showcase something you’ve been working on, talk about new features, and contribute to discussions about the continuously evolving web platform. Proposals for presentations are welcome until April 30th, 2024 and talks can be either on-site or remote.

Fill out the form for the Call for Papers on the Hackfest site, or propose a breakout session by opening a GitHub issue.

Many people are already registered to join us in-person. If you’d like to be on the list, please register (it’s free) so we can plan for space.

We are also looking for sponsors for the Hackfest, so if you are interested in participating in that capacity, be sure to check out the sponsoring packages and get in touch with us.

We hope you can join us and are looking forward to seeing everyone again this June.
