"Join us in A Coruña or online June 5th–7th, 2023"

We’re pleased to announce that this year’s Web Engines Hackfest will be held June 5th–7th, 2023, in A Coruña, Spain.

This year the event will be fully hybrid, which means both talks and breakout sessions will allow remote participation. We’ll stream the talks just as we did last year, and accept questions for the speakers via Matrix and IRC. We also plan video streaming for all the breakout sessions, with audio equipment onsite to let remote participants hear and be heard.

Even better, we’re extending this year’s edition by a day, which means one day of talks and two days of breakout sessions where groups will discuss, make plans, and code new patches for browsers. If you have an idea for a talk or a breakout session, please submit a proposal. The deadline for submissions is April 30th, and acceptance letters will go out by May 15th.

Igalia’s Web Engines Hackfest has been an annual tradition since 2009. For those who join us in 2023, the conference venue will once again be Palexco, situated right on the scenic harbor of A Coruña. If you plan to join in person, please fill out this brief registration form so we can plan space and support. Remote participants do not need to register ahead of time.
