"Igalia will participate in the Maps for the Web Conference"

The W3C (The World Wide Web Consortium) and the OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) are holding a joint workshop on Maps for the Web to discuss the needs of, and standardization potentials and direction of maps on the Web.

Over the course of two weeks, there will be daily presentations and discussions from various stakeholders and participants. Igalia will be attending these meetings, and Brian Kardell, Igalia Developer Advocate, will be presenting a talk “Extending the Web” on Weds, Sept 23rd at noon Eastern Time.

We agree that maps provide an important form of communication and seem interesting to consider improving how they fit on the web. We are looking forward to see how we can help improve the status quo and advance some of the ideas that will be presented.

If you are planning to participate we look forward to seeing you then. If you are not participating but are interested in learning more please feel free to contact us via https://www.igalia.com/contact/.
