It has been 7 months since the Igalia team began working to implement MathML in Chromium. The initial implementation, in our downstream fork is almost complete. Efforts have included basic setup and implementation as well as very useful features like stretchy operators and advanced style. In addition to implementation efforts, Igalia and the W3C MathML Refresh Community Group have been working together to ensure better interoperability in all implementations. Given a functional implementation that is capable of good rendering of a well defined MathML core, we will continue our roadmap efforts, testing, answering questions and making refinements that are necessary for the ultimate upstreaming work.
