"Igalia to sponsor ELC-EU, AGL AMM and TPAC 2018"

Upcoming weeks will be very busy in Igalia with many Igalians attending different events.

First, Igalia was excited to travel to California to attend WebKit Contributors Meeting during the week of the October 12th (last week!), a contributors conference for WebKit developers. We have been an active contributor to this open source project since more than 8 years ago.

This week, Igalia will sponsor as Silver at the Automotive Grade Linux all members meeting in Dresden, which happens between 18th and 19th of October. There, we will show demos on our latest work around Chromium and Wayland, as well as discussing the latest developments on Chromium as a Web Runtime.

During the week of the 22nd of October, Igalia will sponsor several very important event

  • Embedded Linux Conference (ELC) Europe in Edinburgh: 22nd-24th of October. For the fifth year in a row, Igalia will sponsor ELC Europe, colocated with Open Source Summit Europe. Igalia will have a booth where we will show our work around web browsers, graphics, multimedia and compilers.
  • TPAC: 22nd-26th of October in Lyon. We will have a strong presence there with many Igalians participating in the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Web Real-Time Communications, Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) and Immersive Web WG/CG WebAssembly Working Groups. Our participation also includes sponsorship and a talk in the W3C developers meetup on Monday the 22nd by Manuel Rego.
  • GStreamer conference: Igalia sponsors once again the conference as Gold sponsor. In addition, Igalians will have an active participation with two talks in the main track by Thibault Saunier, "Video Editing with GStreamer, status update and plans for the future" and Philippe Normand, "Multimedia support in WebKitGTK and WPE, current status and plans". Victor Manuel and Xabier Rodríguez Calvar will also participate with a lightning talk each one.
