- ISO 9001:2000, the quality standard. As of November 2007 Igalia is ISO (International Organization for Standardization) quality certified in Free Software Development.

IT Service Classification. Igalia holds an ICT services subcontractor level granted by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, according to the following:
- Group V) Subgroup 2 Category C. ICT Services. Software development and maintenance. Projects from 300,000 euros up to 600,000 euros.
- Group V) Subgroup 5 Category B. ICT Services. Systems management and maintenance. Projects from 150,000 euros up to 300,000 euros.
- Civil Liability Insurance. A professional civil liability insurance covers any incorrect action in the development of our professional activity. It is unusual for a software company to have a professional civil liability insurance, but Igalia is an unusual software company. We guarantee the result of our work, and an insurance company covers the risk.
- LOPD. As the company is responsible for files containing personal details, Igalia, S. L. strictly complies with all of the requirements of Spanish Personal Data Protection Act 15/1999 and its development of rules, having adopted the technical measures established in Spanish Royal Decree 994/1999.
