Regional Free Software Master Thesis Prize
Yearly, Igalia awards a prize to the author of one master's thesis related to free software written at a Galician university.
Research in free software grows, exploring more than simply the ethics of free software and collaboration in free software projects. With this prize Igalia wishes to reward the work of university students studying free software.
The prize of 1000€ for the best project is selected by a jury consisting of Galician Universities, the Galician public administration (mancomun.org) and Igalia.
This initiative is intended to foster understanding and knowledge of free software among students and new professionals.
