GStreamer

GStreamer is a framework for creating multimedia applications.

GStreamer is an open source framework, developed by an enthusiastic community, and Igalia is an active part of that community, contributing with several components, such as,

  • Patch for adding DKS subtitle support to GStreamer
  • Patch for adding support for frame-based subtitles to GStreamer (playbin2)
  • Migrated GStreamer AMR encoder and decoder plugins to use Android OpenCore libraries
  • jpegparse plugin element for GStreamer

Also Igalia collaborated in the low level integration of GStreamer with other technologies
