Igalia

GDigicam eases the development of digital camera applications hiding the lower layers from the developer.

The proposed API is inspired by the OpenMAX 1.0 standard draft and provides core features like:

• Viewfinder.
• Flash modes.
• Scene modes.
• Resolution and aspect ratio.
• Autofocus.
• White balance.
• Quality.
• Zoom.
• Video and photo capture.

The first implementation of the API is based on the GStreamer's GstCameraBin component, new implementations can be easily added.

GDigicam is part of Maemo 5 (Fremantle), Nokia's operating system for embedded devices. Igalia has been the main contributor to GDigicam since the creation of this project in 2009.
